Six Flags Over Texas

Woooo Hooo!!! Six flags Over Texas was a blast! The family, meaning; Denise (future mother in-aw...maybe), Osie (Great Grandma to Peyton), Shannon (Cousin), Caity (Shannon's daughter and Peyton's most favorite person), Krystin and myself headed out to experience a little Christmas joy at Six Flags Holiday in the Park extravaganzaa!!

Let me tell you, when Peyton and Caity get together it is all out fun!! All you will ever hear is laughing and giggling...wait...wait.. you do get the occasional screams and thats fine but other than that, they love each other to death!! We arrived at the park and were ready to have some fun! We hopped on the tram and headed for the entrance. When we got in, we went straight to the tea cups! Boy oh boy I am not sure if I was ready for Peyton to ride the rides.... I am way to over protective... I did not let Mommy spin the cup once!! I just need to learn to relax and let go....mmm.. but that is not going to happen any time soon!

Anyways we rode the teacups, went on a ferris wheel, hopped on the kiddy swings and flew little airplanes. The kiddos had fun! They were even good sports about letting Mommy and Daddy ride a few rides too! Well to hear more about our trip to Six Flags you will have to watch our video blog below! So enjoy

Peyton's First Pumpkin Patch!

You know the saying, "Everything is Bigger in Texas!" Well it is true. The Dewberry Farm is the biggest pumpkin patch I have ever seen! Krystin and I have wanted to take the muffin to her first Pumpkin patch for quite sometime now and we couldn't resist the invite when Grandpa "Bubba" and Daniele told us about this "utopia" of a pumpkin patch. Did I just use the word "utopia"...mmm anyways... We loaded up our truck and headed to Houston for the weekend! We woke up bright and early Saturday morning and drove out to Dewberry Farm (http://www.dewberryfarm.com/). This place was awesome! There isn't enough time in the day to do everything...you could watch pig races, hay rides, corn maze, pumpkin patches, play areas, pony rides, pedal carts, corn canyons, and the list goes on and on!

We walked around for a bit and headed straight for the pumpkins. Like every family we wanted to grab those cute pumpkin patch pictures of our kid but...we quickly realized how spoiled Peyton is. I swear... my child was the only kid crying and not willing to walk to the pumpkin patch. She screamed and yelled "hold you..hold you" meaning hold me, hold me! Ugh...as a parent, I was a little bit embarrassed because the muffin was being a terror! But like any 2 year old, as quick as they can scream and yell, they could laugh and be merry! The rest of the time was a blast. The muffin head only needed a lit bit of time to come out of her shell and feel comfortable around all the other children at the pumpkin patch. At about these times in life, Mom tends to elbow me and mutter under her breathe, if we could just have another child for Peyton to play with...mutter mutter...like a brother... Peyton would respond better to these types of situations....and that is usually about the time when I pass out. One child is a handful for me, I could only imagine 2...but I am thinking about it!! :) lol..

Well take a look below at our trip to Dewberry Farm and let us know what you think:

Take Me out to the Ball Game!

"Programs Here! Get your Programs!!!" (said in a funny, announcer voice...you know the one)

Our night started off without a hitch, we packed Peyton's bag and headed off for the Rangers game. Krystin was so excited to bring Peyton to the ballpark, and I was a little weary. Peyton screamed, "Go Rangers... Go Rangers," all the way to the ballpark! We were all excited to get out and do something on a friday night. That night we met up with some friends and attempted to enjoy the game. The Rangers were clobbering the Rays and Peyton was having a blast. No she wasn't watching the game or care to look at the field, she was to busy trying to sit on the head of the gentleman sitting below us. She was antsy! She did not want to stay still one bit!

"Audible...Audible....!" We changed up our game plan!

We quickly decided to get out of our seats (only the 3rd inning) and grab something to eat. We decided our game plan would be to tire out this little beast so we could enjoy the last half of the game together. We chowed through our nachos and gulped our sodas but there was no sign of tiredness in the little muffins eyes! Eekkkkk.... Good thing we are not die hard baseball fans because we spent the remainder of the night......

Golden Rule Parents Learn:
Improvise

....in the halls playing soccer with an empty water bottle and watching the game on a monitor. Even though this isn't how I pictured watching the game, I had a blast!

The game ended! Rangers 8 Rays 3.... Victory!

We finally went back to our seats and sat down to watch the firework show! Boom!....Bammm!......Boom! the fireworks were off! Peyton frooze in awwe! She finally was sitting still in her seat. Mouth wide open, eyes wide open, head bent back, my daughter was amazed!!! She was so excited about the fireworks she was on cloud nine the rest of the night!

After the firework show she was out and it made for a peaceful ride home!
Living the Good Life!

On a side note my brother Matt and his girlfriend bought a puppy together named Roxy. See pictures below to view there new additon!! Peyton is doing her freaky face in the photo!!

Two thumbs "UP"

Today was an exciting Sunday! Krystin and I decided to take Peyton to her first movie. Just thinking about taking the Muffin to the movie made my stomach turn into knots and even turned a few of my hairs grey. Taking a child to the movies for the first time is risky business! It is like flipping a coin! It may be wonderful or it may be....well...um...a disaster. Well anyways, we sucked it up and sifted through the movie times and found the Movie "UP" Playing at a small cinema nearby. What attracted me was the $1.25 admission; you can't go wrong with that price. Meaning, if the muffin decides she is board and wants to start screaming in the middle of the theater....then fine..... We can just walk away and go home! It is always easier to walk away from a small investment!
So we picked the Showtime and we were off!! Uh Oh!! We were so excited about taking the muffin to the movies we never gave her a nap! So ZZZZZ...ZZZZZ.ZZZZ came from the back seat! She was out...not even a peep! Just...zzzzz..Zzzzz. I quickly thought to myself that this was going to be a lot easier than I thought...she may just sleep on my lap the whole time and we can tell everybody she was an angel at her first movie premiere...hehe.. Of course Mom was not on the same thought token I was on! Lol By the time we arrived at the movies, Peyton was still crashed out!

I took this time to grab a picture of us outside the Theater. It is easier to take pictures of toddlers when they are zonked! :) Otherwise you strain yourself trying to get them to hold still and smile! By the way this rarely happens all at one time.

We final made it to the box office, and at this time, Peyton was finally awake. We bought our tickets and with excitement entered the theater. We quickly got our seats and began to cross our fingers hoping for a smooth movie experience. I quickly popped out of my seat and ran to the concession stand to buy some popcorn, sour patch kids and some drinks! My reasoning: A happy, distracted kid is the best kid! Peyton was excited for her "Dink", that is how she says Drink! She also seemed to manage to get her hands on the sour patch kids, and wanted no part in sharing! Every time Mom or I would try to sneak a sour patch kid we got a screaming "NO! Mine!" so we figured we would not win this fight today and let her be!

The movie started and her face lit up! She was in the zone! Mom and I gave a little high five and started to relax and enjoy ourselves a little more! We were not sitting on pins and needles anymore!
The movie "Up" was awesome! Pixar Rocks! I have never been let down by them! The movie does a great job with the story line, humor, animation and being able to captivate adults as well as the children. Warning! Warning! The movie will make you choke up a little at the beginning and at the end....Us Dads will always try to hide it but we secretly cry too! lol

About 3/4 of the way through the movie...the muffin started to loose interest. She started to pick up old dirty popcorn off the floor and put it into our perfectly good bag! Ugh...gross...right???!! Well we noticed only after we saw her about to put a piece into her mouth.....ahhhhh... and in these moments I elbow Mom to come to the rescue and get her daughter in line! lol... Overall we had a great time! We gave Peyton a thumbs up for good behavior and a thumbs up to the movie "UP." So Two thumbs up it is!!! We had a blast!

Memorable Moments:
1. Peyton not sharing the Sour Patch Kids- "No Mommy...NO Daddy!"
2. Peyton had to put her sunglasses on because the character in the movie had glasses on
3. Sitting in a booster chair between Dad's Legs and staring up at the movie screen- she looked precious
4. Peyton saying, "Bye bye balloons," at the end of the movie!

PS...NO offense to anyone but a movie theater that has $1.25 tickets definitely draws in the weirdo’s. Yep..Yep..Yep! Maybe we are weirdo’s too!!

A Trip to the Zoo!! Hee-Haw!!!

We went to the Zoo we went to the Zoo, Hi-Ho the Dairy-O we went to the Zoo!!!! So it was just another saturday morning...except for the fact Nama was sleeping in the guest room. Nama...which is grandma for those of you who didn't catch on, came out to visit for her birthday. That what she said anyways.... It was really just to see the Muffin...aka.. Peyton! Well we woke bright and early because miss peyton had to see where Nama went...meaning find out where Nama slept... so Peyton went crashing in the guest room screaming " Morning..Morning...Nama...Get up! Get up!.." so Nama got up. We then instantly decided to make the most of our day and head to the Fort Worth Zoo. Peyton has been to the Zoo a few times before but was a little to young to appreciate all the animals...so this time around..made it a memorable day..a day that the Scott family will never forget. Most importantly, the Muffin Head got to spend it with Nama!!......ps...it also allowed me and Krystin to free load and let poor old Grandma pay for everything.. ;) lol Sucker!!! hehe...the best money I never spent!! :)

Well take a look below and tell us what you think

Sea Lion Impersonations!

This video below is a little clip of one memory we had in Cabo San Lucas. We were on a Sunset Cruise, sitting out on the bow of the boat and were inspired by the natural wild life that surrounded us. LOL I think it was the booze but lets say it was the inspiration of the beautiful wild life. Anyways, We all gave our best effort to do our impersonation of a Sea Lion! Take a look:

The above video is a sneak peak of our Los Cabos Vacation! We are currently working on editing a video that I shot when we were there! I think I am addicted to my video camera! So stay tuned for the whole show!!! it will be up shortly!.......ps Adios!

Peyton's 1st Birthday Party Invite!

So exciting!!! Peyton recieved her 1st Birthday party invite!! wooohooo!! Well Peyton recieved her invite from her bestest bestest cousin Caity and Bryndon! Caity celebrated her 3rd birthday while Bryndon celebrated his 2nd birthday tonight and it was a blast. All the kids met up at Mountasia to play, bounce, ride rides, and eat cake! Mountasia for those of you who don't know, is a family fun center type of place where you can play putt'putt, arcades, jump in bounce houses and ride some kiddie rides! For you Californians who read this, it is like Camelot! Well when we first arrived Peyton was a little unsure of joining the party. It took several minutes to convince her that this was going to be fun. Well she fussed and cried for mommy but once she got on the Frog Free Fall Ride she entered a whole new world.... Listen for her laugh...you may need ear plugs....Caity is just as loud! :)

The kids where like ping pong balls at this place. They were bouncing back and forth from ride to ride, it made me dissy! "Daddy come here....daddy come here" this is all I heard for 3 hours...she had me follow her all over the bounce houses and had me put her on every ride. She tore it up! She loved riding the cars....I think she thinks she was really driving!!! Take a look:

Well kids aren't the only ones who can have fun too! Mom and Dad wanted to enjoy the bounce house fun! We were a little jealous of all the kids and there bouncing fun that we decided we should have a little too! So we kicked all the little kids off the bounce house! lol...terrible terrible parents!! but we did.and decided to have ourselves a little competition....
Ultimate Bounce House Race: Wes Versus Krystin
The Stakes: Loser has to change poopies for a week!

Looks like Mom will be cleaning those poopies!

Well all in all...we had a great time! Peyton used every bit of energy her little body had! She quickly passed out when her body hit the carseat! Life is great with a tired muffin!
Thanks for reading our blog! Make sure to stay tuned!!

Game Night

Well it was Saturday and the muffin was asleep, so the adults decided to have a game night. I take that back...adults...mmmm more like the "Culprits!" We decided to have a couple of mixed drinks, some beer, and make games up that we would video tape. Not to mention later put them up on youtube for the world to see... at the time it seemed like a great idea....mmm the morning after I wanted to rush to the computer and take the videos down. But as I sat in my recliner, taking some serious advil and trying to push past my hangover I decided that the videos should stay up. It was game night with a twist I guess and now I get to listen to all your comments! I have to say I had a blast!! Good Times!

Lets introduce the "CULPRITS" before we show the Game night videos.
In this picture we have Justin and Wes. We have been long long time friends and we always seem to get ourselves into these awkward situations. It is our fault that we end up here because when we do...they always start off the same way..."Lets have a couple of beers and kick back!" mmmmmm....yeah right...lol when we get together we act like we are still teenagers!! We go from responsible adults to ....welll..you will see!

Next we have Krystin and Stacy. MMM what to say...mmm...RUN. Well Justin and I should take the blame for these 2 being friends. They met roughly 3 years ago and have been friends ever since. These 2 girls disappear on a regular basis when hanging out at game night because they are secretly doing shots in the kitchen...and thats a recipe for a disaster. Disaster meaning: irresponsible drunken fun. Krystin and Stacy bring the life to game night. They are also the devils on your shouldes pushing us to embarrass ourselves even more.

Peyton Walking in High Heels- Training to be a Heart Breaker!

It is Friday night and I can't sleep! I turned on the computer and began watching old videos of my family. I instantly came across this video of Peyton walking in Mommy's high heels. This video gets me everytime I watch it. I just want my daughter to stay this age forever! She can melt my heart so easily and that is not fair. I am destined to spoil my child and loose my hair. You can tell that she already has me wrapped around her little finger.

Peyton's 2nd Birthday! Hip Hip Hooray!

Well Peyton has turned 2 and we all had a blast being a kid at Chuckie Cheese! I think the adults had way more fun then she did...take a look

Celebrating Peyton's 2nd Birthday was amazing. When your child turns 1, he/she has no idea of what a birthday actually is...but when they turn 2 it is a whole other story. Peyton loved exploring Chuckie Cheese, playing the games, riding the rides, eating her cake and opening her presents. She definitely melted my heart, well she would have melted yours too if you had saw her smiling face!!! wait...wait.. you can..take a look-

Krystin and I want to thank all of our friends and family! Peyton is very thankful for all the love and presents we recieved! She definitely has too many toys now!! We seriously should buy stock in Dora the Explorer...we own everything she puts her face on...

and now a Note from Dad....
Thanks for all the Dora stuff...I can officially watch Dora 24/7 with all the DVD's so graciously given to my daughter...not to mention the wonderful sing along CD for the Car...oh ..and the wonderful book that plays noises from the show!!! Yippie for me...I officially understand why dads go bald and go grey....!!!! For those of you who don't understand...let me give you a taste!!!

If there's a place you got to go
I'm the one you need to know
I'm the Map
I'm the Map
I'm the Map
If there's a place you got to get
I can get you there I bet
I'm the Map (12 times)

and Don't forget Swiper: Swiper no Swiping!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh now repeat....repeat...forever!!!!!! ps... I am banning TV, Books, And Song time!!! hahaha :)

Kite Flying- Dad's New Workout

To fly or not to Fly...that was definitely not the question this afternoon. Krystin and I bought a cheap Kite of Dora to fly this afternoon for Peyton but what we really got was an over glorified picture of Dora on a piece of paper with a string.... It flew as long as I ran.... I was like Forest Gump!! I just started Runnin'...Even though it didn't fly so well, Peyton had a blast and even shedded a few tears...if you ever had a 2yr old then you understand how one minute they are so happy and the next they can be the devil..lol Well Peyton loved watching the Kite fly and she did an excellent job launching! She may go pro kite launcher when she grows up! Like Always tune in below to see our recap of the Kite Flying Extravaganza!

Weekend Wrap up!

Dang...it is another Monday! Weekends should always be 3 days because nobody likes monday anyways...well unfortunately I am at work so I decided to give you all the Weekend Wrap up for The Scott-Craig Family Blogspot! Well, we had a pretty eventful weekend...and for a family that means we went out and actually did something. Well on Saturaday, we got a babysitter (thats sweetness right there) and went to a Birthday Party. We Celebrated Asia's Birthday (Krystin's Friend) at a Roller Skating Rink, and let me tell you it was fun! God didn't intend for everyone to be skaters and I have come to terms that I am not one of those people....anyways we had a blast! Take a look-

After the party, we thought we would have a date night and unleash a little bit, since Peyton was going to be with Grandma until the morning. Unfortunately, it has been so long since we had alone time...we forgot how to party...lol...yep we have forgotten our early years and migrated towards home to lay in bed...at what time you ask...mmmm it was only 8:30!!! LOL...We talked and talked until we finally got ourselves motivated and hit the town. We partied like animals...belly shots....stripper poles...loud music..we were 2 people to be reckoned with...lol yep I LIED that wasn't us...that was our next door neighbors lol...We on the other hand hit up Transformer 2 and called it a night. We were suprised we stayed up past 12:00...so our night was pretty exciting!!

Sunday Afternoon We decided to have Watermelon! Nothing is cuter then a beautiful little girl named Peyton eating a Watermelon! Take a look...

TGIF! Couch Drop!

Well it is Friday here at work and we do not feel like working!!! We need motivation so screw working and screw this dingy old couch we are sitting on! Lets drop it! From what....a Forklift! This is what we do at work when we drink to much coffee and Rockstars in the morning! Now shhh.... Hopefully the Boss doesn't find out that his Couch from his office is missing

Taking a look at the top of my Roller-Coaster I like to call Life!

Lately Life seems to be flying by!I wish life had an E-Brake so you could slow it down every once in awhile. I would like to sit back and take it in a little more. It is so easy to get caught up in your day to day activities that you don't spend enough time enjoying it. A friend told me, "Life is like a roller-coaster...take a long look at the top of the peak and plunge in again!!!" There are no time outs in life and you get one life to live, so live it! Enjoy the time you have with your wife/girlfriend, your family, God, work, and especially your children! This will leave you feeling fulfilled and happy!

This is one of the ways I take a long look at the top of the Roller-Coaster before I plunge back in!

Intro into our Family

Before we start blogging and before we get carried away with our crazy life...meaning typical american suburbia life....let me introduce you to the family.

Standing in the Pink Corner weighing in at 35lbs standing about yeh tall....is Peyton Nicole!!!!!! Peyton is going to be 2 years old on July 25th. She has been an eater since birth.. so she is pleasantly healthy! lol.. She is the prettiest baby and I am not just saying that. Peyton loves to watch Dora, play outside, drink out of big girl cups, give kisses, tell you "No", smile, make funny faces, play where's Peyton, Catch me if you can, help daddy fix things, wave to people, wear shoes (if she could she would own every single shoe available), do the stink bug, smell flowers, makerandom phone calls, bike ride, sing in her car seat, swimat the pool, and hold everything she can touch.

Next...we have weighing in at ???????? eeeek not the right way to start this next introduction....we have the Hottest Momma of them all!!! Krystin Craig! She is the glue to our family. With out her our family would fall apart! She is loving, caring, funny, emotional, giving, and most importantly she is understanding! and Let me tell you....in our family you have to be understanding or your patience will wear thin real fast!!! Krystin loves to play and look after Peyton but she also likes her time. She can be caught doing almost anything out going! She loves going to the pool, tanning, working hard at her cycling class, has dreams to become a nurse, loves taking care of Dad!!! Loves the Real housewives of the O.C. and New Jersey, loves to sleep with the A/C blasting and 2 fans spinning on full power while she sleeps! She loves family...you name it...she will do it!! She is picky when it comes to food, movies, and a few other things that I find irrestible because that is what makes her....her! AKA or Alias- Sweet Tits, Buck tooth Rat (LOL), Babe

Ok...folks....standing in the blue corner...wait...wait...sitting in the green corner on his lazy boy is Wesley Scott! Aka Dad! mmmmmm well a little bit about me... I love my 2 favorite woman very much! I love waking each morning knowing that the woman of my dreams is sleeping next to me and the love of my life is snuggled up in her crib! Life doesn't get any better then this! I love to work, play with my daughter and dogs, love yard work...go figure...maybe it is my get out of jail free card... love bike riding, swimming at the pool, working out...yadda yadda yadda... Most importantly I love living life. Life is constantly changing and it blows my mind what I find interesting and entertaining today is not what I expected 5 years ago. When you become a parent, you will understand this. Being able to live life and watching someone elses life in front of you is an amazing opportunity. Watching someong do all there first's in life will touch your heart! Ok..ok... getting a little sappy...time to move on..

Our 2 Retards: Tucker and Lexi... Tucker is an English Bulldog with one year under his belt. The best way to describe him is high maintance....examples...he will not eat if i am not around...he needs a bath every week or he has skin problems...he has to lay in my closet while I shower and get ready...he has to be within a stone's throw at all times.. some of you say ...awwwe thats cute...ummm no... it isn't always cute....and it could get him into trouble, let me tell you! I was hanging out with a few friends, had a few beers, and it was nightime... well I had to pee so I snuck to the side of the house to relieve myself when half way through my ....you know...urination ......I realized that Tucker followed me to the side of the dark..dark house..and stood under me while I pee'd...mmm.. and thats Retard number #1...We love him!! Tucker dog!! aka..mmm ryhmns with Tucker

Lexi is a great dane and pulling in about 6 months under her belt. She is very skiddish, and clumsy. Whenever she walks on the tile floor and it is a little wet, her legs go a sliding out from under her....kind of like Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh! She is starting to grow little towers for legs and loves to wake you up in the morning with kisses! Morning meaning 4:00 am...yep she rises early!! She loves jumping in her pool and playing with Tucker...she likes to poke at Tucker until he gets fed up and starts chasing her!! She has annoying habit of peeing when she is excited or when she doesn't want to move! and For that she is Retard # 2.... We love her dearly...aka... Sexi (Thats how Peyton Says Lexi)
